The Chinese Government, in order to streng then further these friendly and sordial relations now so happily exiuting between the two countries, feel that the Trusty of Commerce and Savigation between China and Japan signed of the En year of kwong Esu (List July, 1896) together with the subsequent exchanges of Fetes and the Protocal signed on the 13th day of the 9th month of the find year of twang Han (19th October, 1896) ought to be revised in socords noe with the provisions of the Trenty,
It is clearly stated in Article XXVI of the aforessi£ Treaty that if either of the High Contracting Parties should demand a revision of the Tariffa kad of the various articles of the Treaty, mah revision mat be offended within six months after the expimšion of 10 years from the date of the exchange of ratifi gutions.
